This is a simple yet beautiful love story that revolves around the everlasting era of music background..... Through out the film you will see the beautiful architecture work of the 100 years old building, small house equipped with gramophone and piano.... then s small music store with multi-compilations of old records....then, you will see a beautiful scenery of seaside from a roof top..... and then pictures of Chopin and his lover.....
A high school student named Ye Xiang Lun(by Jay Chou), who transferred to Tamkang Secondary School, which happened his father Ye (Anthony Wong) is the headmistress. On the first day, he walks through the hundred years old building, which is the piano rooms with his classmate, Qin Yi (Sky) suddenly a mysterious piano solo draws his attention. He follows the song and found a girl, which is Xiao Yu (Kwai Lun-Mei), who was playing the score 
earlier in one of the old music room.Xiang Lun assumed Xiao Yu as one of his classmates, which always late for class..... He draws to her smile.... and he spends lots of time with her and become intimate friends.
One day he asked Xiao Yu "What is the melody you played the first day we met?".... Then Xiao Yu whispered "Is a secret that cannot be told"
Soon, they become closer to each other..... However, Xiao Yu seem to be very mysterious and always brushed off Xiang Lun's questions by saying it is a secret that cannot be told.....There is a scene where Xiang Lun collected 15 apples and put under his table because is the number of days Xiao Yu didn't come to school..... It was so cute yet romantic to see Xiang Lun carried all the apples with both of his hands and looking very blur at Xiao Yu.... Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding when Xiao Yu saw Xiang Lun kissed Qin Yi she mysteriously disappear.... Xiang Lun tried to locate her..... but he realised things were getting weird especially the day he listened to his dad talking bout Xiao Yu, which is one his students during 1977...
It turned out that Xiao Yu is the girl that crossed from 20 years ago.... and the key that open the time door was by playing the piano piece "Secret" using the old grand piano in the old piano room.

This movie really well-blended..... With the background setting, the choice of music... the piano battle using some old pieces of waltz.... the storyline is well-scripted.....In the movie, some of the excerpts are really meaningful.... especially when Xiang Lun and Xiao Yu was admiring the painting of Chopin and his lover. Xiang Lun was lamented that this lovers had eventually parted aways after being lovers for 10 years, however, Xiao Yu envied that the couple was able to spend 10 years together.... and then Xiang Lun added this period of ten years was the period when Chopin produced his most outstanding work....
And then, the best scenes are those piano sessions done by Mr. Jay Chou in this movie especially the "Piano Battle". There are also scene where Xiang Lun and Xiao Yu crossed hands and played, and the scene Xiang Lun played two pianos at the same time.... and there is one time where Xiang Lun played single-handedly on the piano behind him with his eyes close.
