The day I collected my IKEA vouchers...

Thanks to you all who voted for me in the IKEA Go Clean Your Room Contest 2009.....

I won the grand prize which is the RM 5000 cash vouchers, yes.... is just cash vouchers not cash... so,please stop ask me for lunches or dinner... but of course, if pay day here, i wouldn't mind to belanja some snow beer... Yes, WL and J, you two hear this.... FREE SNOW BEER and ONLY IN IPOH NOT PUCHONG.... K???????

And Eric won't come to my house to makeover my house....

Well, i met Shireen from IKEA.....and finally she presented me the vouchers..... and thanks to IKEA my mom got her new dining chairs.... and my sister got her new bed frame...

Finally, i won!!!!!!! But, i didn't get the makeover service as my boss thought ERIC ... the guy from some interior design program will come to my house to makeover my room... NO..... i know i should join that.... But never mind...

Therefore,

My messy room helps my mom getting extra 10 dining chairs, my brother will get a new wardrobe, my sister will get a new bed.... and my cousin who helped me will get a new bed as well.....

So, what do i get????

NOTHING..... MY BROTHER TOLD ME MY ROOM HAS ENOUGH....

Anyway, too bad i won is cash vouchers....... If i won cash!!!! We will feast in my room... only in my room!!!!!!!!

Well, do you know what do Bak Kut Teh and Dim Sum have in common in Hatyai????

Well, folks in Hatyai line up early morning for breakfast...

Well, the shop I went here is rather different... the way they serve dim sum is rather different.....

First you got to find a place to sit...

And cam-whore at the same time....

Once you got your table, remember your table no. and walk towards the ice box which filled with un-cooked dim sum

Be aggressive and push everybody away, so you are in front of the box...

and tell the person your table no....

And then, wait for the dim sum to cook....

I'm a Physiotherapist but am I the evidence-based practice physiotherapist??????

As a physiotherapy trainee and a person who had knee injury due to sport, I believe healing is not about seeing the best doctor or has the best medicine. During my initial injury, I received acupuncture treatment and herbal treatment.

But, I learn that herbal treatment is not suitable for acute stage in soft tissue injury. My lecturer explained that Chinese herbs are not a suitable treatment because it induces heat into the tissues and cause accumulation of fluids, thus edema occurs. But, I was not satisfied with her answer as I, myself, who had injury and herbs treatment worked for me. Thus, I went to ask my acupuncturist. He said the herbal treatment won’t work without the acupuncture because the acupuncture allowed the blocked chi to flow and the herbal treatment allowed the Chi to flow faster. And I was thinking heat is not suitable in physiotherapy as it accelerates the fluids movement but it didn’t create a path for the fluid to flow, that’s why edema occurs if heat is given for acute injury. Finally, my knee healed without any aggressive invasion of modern medicine and there is no edema but the knee is unstable and I had to stop my Tae Kwan Do. My heart crashed and my life completely changed.

Well, in my opinion the rate of healing of the wound in my heart and spirit is much slower than the one in my knee. Therefore, even though my knee healed but I still felt as though I am not healing yet. Why is this happening? Why am I feeling this way? Then, I realized that healing is not about encourage healing in the flesh but also in the heart. When a person is injured, it not only affected the person physically but also emotionally and mentally. Therefore a holistic approach of rehabilitation is appropriate in healing a person. A wound may heal completely, but can a heart heal completely as well?

Therefore, natural process comes in. Firstly, there will be inflammation stage, where I feel pain, sadness, angry at myself and refuse to calm and rationalize with yourself about your injury and refused to accept my injury. Then, follow with granulation stage where, friends and family will give advices and unconditional support to me. They make sure that my emotion is laid properly and my mind won’t go hay-wired. Layer by layer of love and care, finally, my wound is ready to heal completely and my emotion is stable and mental is strong.

Lastly, in the remodeling stage, this is the important stage because any improper healing can cause a scar which can cause more problems. In this stage, I rationalize with myself and remodel my thinking and perceptions, how I should accept my injury and make the best of it. And I slowly build up my confidence and learn how to prevent future injury and learn to take care of myself. This is the natural healing which I think is the best for me.

Thanks to situation... push me to learn more things..... As I'm not IT-trained... I usually learn all the IT stuffs either through Google or explore myself... and when i faced trouble, i always use that three buttons... CTRL-ALT-DELETE...... to restart my lappy again.... and usually it works... if it doesn't work.... the HP Customer Service Centre is less than 5 minutes away from my aunt place...

Well, you see, usually, if i want to take a screen shot of a website, I'll use my camera's macro mode ... and the effects are like these pictures...

1) First, locate this word PRT SC on your keyboard... it stands for PRINT SCREEN

2) Then, you will automatically capture the screen of the website you wanted... with no notice inform...

3) And then, open any program for pictures editing... such as ADOBE PHOTOSHOP.... or i'm using MICROSOFT OFFICE PICTURE MANAGER, and you just press CTRL-V simultaneously to insert the picture you took...

4), And voila, you have the screen shot already... do anything you... crop it... resize it... paint it...

Well, thanks to situation to force me to learn this skill.... well, is rather late but at least i know now....

2009 New Year Countdown Hatyai trip!!!

I know I suppose to post this like 7 months ago... but things got my way and i totally forgot bout the pictures stored in my lappy for past few months.... went back, rearranged the pictures and remembered the promise i make for I Ling that i would talk bout it....

We woke up early.... prepared early..... and here we go, this time, we are driving to Hatyai, exactly 5 hours ride from Ipoh... Thank goodness we have lots of drivers in the same car... but the end, only one poor guy driving back and forth to Hatyai....

What is a car-trip if we didn't begin it with delicious food along the way????

Before we reach Hatyai, we stop along the way after custom check... to have our first gastronomic treat...

So, the not-to-miss Thailand Chicken.... But once you step inside, you will see this....

What a good idea, maybe i should ask my dad to get this... it was like the 'wow' effect when you step in and see two persons was cutting the chicken simultaneously....

Well, what can you have here

Of course, the chicken rice...

And then you can order coke in bottle that come with this metal cup...

The cup reminded me of kopi-O... the one my grand-aunt used to make her cup of caffeine...

Well, is not a surprise if you see cows along the way to Hatyai.... but, is a surprise if you see cow tied this way...

And he is such a good boy, he even posed for me... And my aunt said we are like 'city-jakun'.... Kononnya, city girl never see cow before....

So, we reached Hatyai.... but after we check in, we can't wait to cam-whore.... here is the point where the countdown start...

Of course, we waited for the night market to begin... at the same time, enjoy the Svenson... is so much cheaper here... and people have Svenson like they have Wall's in Malaysia cause is dirt cheap here... i meant, compare with Malaysia's Svenson...

And then, we went to department shop to shop for bra.... bra.... more bra...... and we are so tired... till we cam-whore this way...

But then, tired is FORBIDDEN in Hatyai...

We continue to look for food on the first night...

Fried big head prawn....

Fried Pigeon... Yu Kap...

And then, we ate Zhong-so-called cheap bird-nest.... Around 100 baht per bowl... Is expensive la...

However, that night is not our meal yet... that was just appetizers....

Thanks to Ms CIL's parents, we were brought to this restaurant nearby the hotel we stayed.... and we had...

Pork-Feet.... Not my favorite.... but the sauce is my favorite... sweet-sour-spicy....

Tung Fan Fish in Coconut Milk.... Not my favorite too....

But this is favorite.... but i don't know what it is... is some chili-prawn....

What a meal to wrap up our day...... And i heard we are going to have weird breakfast the next day.......
